Soil education roles open for national project
MURDOCH University is inviting applications for a Communication and Digital Platforms Lead and a Soil Education and Engagement Officer for the National Soils Education Opportunity (NSEO).
Both roles will report to SoilsWest Director and NSEO National Lead, Associate Professor Frances Hoyle.
Communication and Digital Platforms Lead
The Communication and Digital Platforms Lead at Murdoch University’s Food Futures Institute (SoilsWest) is a key member of the project leadership team, responsible for national project communication, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of the National Soils Education Opportunity digital platforms co-investment with the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC).
Soil Education and Engagement Officer
The Regional Soil Education and Engagement position delivers regionally tailored soil education, training, and engagement activities under NSEO. It supports the development of scalable, evidence-base resources to strengthen industry training and capacity across the agricultural sector.
Working within a nationally coordinated program and guided by Regional Node Leaders across the Western, Northern, and Southern GRDC regions, the role drives regional education and engagement. It contributes to lasting impact through digital platforms, modular learning, and national soil knowledge hub, connecting growers, consultants, advisors, and partners to best-practice soil science education.
