More than 120 competitors are expected for the competition.

The competition schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, October 28: Welcome function at Mandurah Foreshore from 6pm
Thursday, October 29: Training Day 1 Nanga Farm – 6 km south of Dwellingup
Friday, October 30: Training Day 2 Nanga Farm – 6 km south of Dwellingup
Saturday, October 31: Competition Day and end of event gathering at The Bridge Hotel, Mandurah.

Coaches

SSA’s Soil Judging Committee is looking for experienced soil scientists, educators and its Certified Professional Soil Scientist/Registered Soil Practitioner members and industry professionals to act as team coaches.

No previous soil judging experience is needed. Coaches will be grouped with experienced peers for the training days, but ability to help with soil profile descriptions would be a bonus.

Volunteers

Volunteer roles include marshalling, logistics, scoring support, and general event assistance. No previous soil judging experience is required for many roles.

Volunteer registration includes the welcome function dinner, bus transport to/from training and competition sites, and lunch, morning tea and afternoon tea.

Volunteers are also welcome to purchase a soil judging shirt and a ticket to the end of event dinner.

How to get involved

The Soil Judging Committee would love to hear from those attending the conference who can assist, even for part of the soil judging program.

To volunteer, please register through the soil judging registration portal using the volunteer option.

For any questions about volunteering or coaching a team, please email Ivanah Oliver at soiljudge@soilscienceaustralia.org.au
