Daniel Kidd

project manager at grower group alliance and phd candidate at university of western australia
I am a full time UWA employee working on a national project on phosphorous efficient pastures and am also a part time PhD candidate at UWA with my research project “Edaphic and climatic factors limiting the production and persistence of Ornithopus species and Trifolium subterraneum in Southern Australia: Is the anecdotal evidence accurate?” Science capability is in planning and development of field and glasshouse experiments and the implementation and maintenance of large scale field trials. Additional expertise in plant and soil nutrition, which lends itself to practical grower applications. “Improving grower confidence towards the introduction of pasture legumes such as serradella on sandy soil types is a key objective that will help deliver a cheap source of nitrogen and a disease break for crops as well as provide a quality source of feed that can persist longer into the growing season”
