My expertise includes soil biological processes associated with nutrient acquisition by plants, soil chemical fertility and microbial diversity, bio-physical processes involved in soil aggregation, microbial responses to fertilisers, microbial response to soil amendments (including biostimulants), and plant-microbial symbioses. My research spans a broad area of soil biology with links to agriculture, horticulture, minesite rehabilitation and forest ecology. I am interested in integrating knowledge of physical, chemical, biological and hydrological aspect of soil science.
