Early bird registrations are now open for the 2026 Soil Science Australia National Conference.

Western Australia is hosting the conference on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja in Boorloo (Perth) from November 1-5, 2026. It follows the Australian Soil Judging Competition (October 29-31).

Over 450 attendees are expected to attend the conference, which will serve as a platform for a diversity of voices across science, policy, industry and community to explore a mutual understanding of soils as the foundation of productivity, security and resilience.

The theme of the 2026 conference is ‘Common Ground: Soils for the Anthropocene’.

The conference will provide a fantastic opportunity for attendees to gain a better understanding of a range of topics relevant to soil, including stewardship and storytelling, policy, planning and governance, processes and mechanisms, land management in agriculture, mining and conservation.

There will also be opportunities for networking and relationship-building at social functions, and for hands-on experience during field tours.

Early bird rates (till July 31)

$990 for Soil Science Australia members and $1200 for non-members
