2025 Annual Boodja Lecture

Since 2012, Soil Science Australia’s Annual Boodja Lecture has promoted the “outstanding and prominent aspects of soil science in Western Australia”, with “Boodja” a common Noongar word for land.

This year’s lecture will be held on Friday, November 7 at Perth’s State Library Theatre from 3pm to 5pm.

DPIRD Principal Research Scientist David Hall will deliver the lecture, with his focus on Beach sands and sodic clays: the role of soil science in transforming WA soils for crop production.

The program is as follows:

• 3pm-3.15pm – Arrival and registration
• 3.15pm-4pm – Refreshments and networking
• 4pm-4.15pm – Welcome and introductions
• 4.15pm-5pm – Lecture by David Hall
