TAAM Field Day

September 5 - September 6

Traditional Owners, farmers, researchers and land managers will come together near Perenjori for a unique field day that blends Aboriginal knowledge systems with contemporary regenerative agriculture.

The Transformational Aboriginal Agricultural Methods (TAAM) project, co-led by Maaman Marra Boodjar and Edith Cowan University, invites participants to Gimlet Ridge and
Weelhamby Farm to explore collaborative approaches to caring for Country and restoring landscape function.

Perenjori is situated in the Mid West region of Western Australia, around 350km from Perth. ‘Perenjori’ comes from the Aboriginal word meaning ‘water hole’.

The TAAM project is supported by the South-West WA Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub, through funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund, and the WA Agricultural Research Collaboration.
