Soil Science Australia National Conference

Soil Science Australia’s biennial national conference will be held in Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia in 2026. It will follow the Australian Soil Judging Competition (October 29-31).
The theme of the conference is ‘Common Ground: Soils for the Anthropocene’.
Specific conference themes include:
- Boodja Katitjin: soil stewardship and storytelling
- Soil security and resilience
- Soil constraints, amendments and engineering
- Soils-first agronomy and land management
- Soil health, conservation and sustainability
- Soil organic matter and nutrient dynamics
- Technology, data processing, and artificial intelligence
- Soil description, classification and national inventories
- Policy, planning and governance for soils
The call for conference abstracts will close on April 24, 2026.
