Facey Group Field Walk

Facey Group will celebrate 25 years of grower-led research when it hosts its field walk in Wickepin on Thursday, August 20 from 2pm till 5pm.

Researchers in attendance (and presenting) will include:

• Dr Manish Sharma (UWA) – Improving phosphorus efficiency in high P-fixing soils
• Allan Rattey (InterGrain) – Deep sowing oats and herbicide options for earlier establishment
• Dr Yvette Oliver (CSIRO) and Dr Meredith Guthrie (DPIRD) – Time of sowing, seasonal risk and managing increasingly variable seasons
• Emeritus Professor Richard Bell (Murdoch University) and Dr Wendy Vance (Murdoch University) – Innovative lime technologies and soil acidity management
• Dr Hassan Sardar (Murdoch University) – Long-term soil amelioration for more productive and resilient sandy soils.

A 25-year celebration will be held after the field walk.
