I carry out field experiments to look at best methods to improve soil in order to increase grain production. Much of my work involves working with local growers, gathering data, and using this to provide information on how to improve their business.
My background
I have been at the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) for nearly 20 years and have been involved in a large range of projects.
Over the last 10 years, I have focused on soil constraints including soil acidity and water repellence to improve crop production.
Before DPIRD, I started as an agronomist in the private sector.
